Primary School Age Competitions and Skills Development
In partnership with Capital Zone Basketball Trust, Paraparaumu College, and Matts Basketball Academy we provide professional coaching and provide opportunities to compete in leagues. The focus is on help our young athletes get to love the game and learn with their friends. The leagues are organised to enable young athletes to learn in a game situation but we ensure that games are even and fun to play in. We run two leagues every school term, one aimed at young players aged 4-9, and the other at older players, aged 10-13. The leagues run for 6-7 weeks each term. The sessions take place at Paraparaumu College Gym. Check KBA on Facebook for more details.
The KBA organises and runs rep teams that train together and enter local, regional and national competitions and tournaments. There are rep teams for U13 Boys, U13 Girls, U15 Boys, U15 Girls, U17 Boys, U17 Girls and a Mens Team.
This is a very exciting space for keen players who wish to play at the competitive level. Commitment is required for the weekly trainings and during the competition season. If you're interested in joining or wish to hear more, please contact us at Contactus.email@example.com.
In addition KBA supports a recent initiative namely the formation of representative teams for the Capital Zone. Where all the best players from across the association teams form representative teams at U15 and U17 level.
For more details please see our facebook page.
In partnership with CZBT KBA encourages local primary schools to adopt this initiative.
For a very modest investment primary schools can engage CZBT to deliver Kiwi Hoops in their school. For additional information please contact CZBT.
